COVID-19 Update:
854 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 6.38%
Sofia, September 5 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 461,545, after 13,386 tests identified 854 new infections on Saturday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 6.38 per cent.
Sofia tops the list of new cases with 132 positive tests, followed by Burgas with 121 cases and Varna with 110.
The active cases are 34,419. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 4,114, including 338 in intensive care.
Another 192 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 408,043.
Thirty-two fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 19,083.
With 3,372 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,352,395 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,198,196 people are fully vaccinated.
