Bulgarians Entering Romania Presenting only PCR Test Results Can Now Stay over
Three Days

Sofia, September 17 (Lora Metanova of BTA) - The Romanian authorities have again included Bulgaria in the list of countries from the so-called yellow zone as of September 19, 2021, which removes the restriction that citizens who submitted only a negative result of a PCR test upon entering the country can stay for a maximum of 3 days (72 hours), the press centre of the Foreign Ministry reported on Friday.

The other requirements remain unchanged - entry from Bulgaria into Romania is allowed without a 14-day quarantine to vaccinated or recovered COVID-19 patients with the necessary documents, children up to six years of age, and transiting travellers, provided that they leave Romania within 24 hours after entry.

Detailed information is published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the section "Coronavirus - how to travel" at https://www.mfa.bg/bg/covid19map/Europe/romania

If they need assistance, Bulgarian citizens can contact the embassy in Bucharest by phone: +40 21 230 21 50; +40 21 230 21 59 or email: consular.bucharest@mfa.bg.
