COVID-19 Update:
850 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 9.35%


Sofia, September 23 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 487,588, after 9,086 tests identified
850 new infections on Thursday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Wednesday. The test positivity
rate now stands at 9.35 per cent.

The capital Sofia tops the list of new cases with 158 positive
tests, followed by Burgas with 99 and Plovdiv with 74 cases.

The active cases are 41,071. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 4,959, including 405 in intensive care.

Another 584 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 426,266.

Twenty-seven fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to 20,251.

With 1 858 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,483,134
vaccine doses have been administered so far. LN/
