The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,165,538, after 4,061 tests identified 182 new infections on Thursday, 63.74% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 4.4 per cent.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 68 positive tests, followed by Stara Zagora Region with 13 cases and Vratsa Region with 10.
The active cases are 73,169. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 351, including 34 in intensive care. Of the 26 hospital admissions, 73.08% were not vaccinated.
Another 676 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,055,216.
Three fatalities were reported (100% unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 37,153.
With 499 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4, 400,096 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,059,753 people are fully vaccinated, and 758,976 have received a booster jab.
