COVID-19 Update:
1,256 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 7.6%
Sofia, November 8 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 632,762, after 16,626 tests identified 1,256 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 7.6 per cent.
Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 387 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 159 cases and Plovdiv Region with 86.
The active cases are 112,845. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 8,491, including 732 in intensive care.
Another 993 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 494,843.
Sixty-nine fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 25,074.
With 4,766 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,965,571 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,565,240 people are fully vaccinated, and 26,794 have received a booster jab.
