Over 6% of Students
12 and Older Vaccinated,
Won't Be Tested in School

Sofia, November 11 (BTA) - Over 6 per cent of students 12 years of age and older have been vaccinated against COVID-19, the Education and Science Ministry said here on Thursday.

The vaccinated students will not be tested twice weekly when they return to class, nor will be those who have valid documents proving they have recovered from the infection or have antibodies.

The percentage of vaccinated teachers continues to increase and is nearing 43 per cent. This tendency gives hope that normal in-class school attendance will soon resume across the country, the Ministry said.

A new batch of 86,000 COVID-19 tests for students will be distributed on Thursday across the regions of Plovdiv, Burgas, Ruse and Vratsa. They have the same characteristics as the ones already being used in 13 other regions. DT/MY
