Sofia, November 16 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 658,870, after 32,054 tests identified 3223 new infections on Monday, 83.09 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 10.05 per cent.

Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 830 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 330 cases.

The active cases are 112,107. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 7,924, including 725 in intensive care.Of the 1061 hospital admissions, 89.07 per cent were not vaccinated.

Another 4,067 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 520,208.

276 fatalities were reported (96.74 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 26,555.

With 16,809 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,086,814 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,633,511 people are fully vaccinated, and 44,260 have received a booster jab.
