6,531 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 19.4%
Sofia, February 12 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,031,660 after 33,745 tests identified 6,531 newly infected persons on Friday, of whom 75.55 per cent are unvaccinated, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 19.35 per cent.
The active cases are 260,634. Currently, the hospitalized patients number
6,152, including 618 in intensive care. Of the 721 new hospital admissions,
84.47 per cent are not vaccinated.
Another 7,720 COVID patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 736,712.
Eighty-six fatalities were reported (86 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 34,314.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 1,409 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 733 and Plovdiv Region with 634.
With 7,433 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,242,454 vaccine
doses have been administered so far, 2,026,063 people are fully
vaccinated, and 653,060 have received a booster jab. DD
