Education Trade Union Insists that
All Students Return to School and
COVID-19 Testing Stops

Sofia, December 21 (BTA) - All Bulgarian students must immediately and unconditionally return to school, according to an analysis carried out by trade union Education, which is part of the Confederation of Labour Podkrepa and is chaired by Dr. Julian Petrov.

Testing students for COVID-19 must stop not only because the tests are quite ineffective, but also because the applied policies divide the Bulgarian people and deprive a significant percentage of students from their right to regular quality education. Parents must absolutely be disallowed to use electronic distance-learning as an excuse to stop their children from going to school. This practice is harmful to Bulgarian students, concludes the analysis conducted by the trade union.

The analysis proceeds to say that "the green certificate being optional in the Bulgarian Parliament and obligatory in educational institutions is a sign of bad statesmanship and a bad example for Bulgarian students". Teachers in Bulgaria have one of the highest vaccination rates, at close to 60 per cent and they set an example that the public should follow. MY/NZ
