Two people were killed and two others were injured in a drone attack on Odesa last night, Serhiy Lisak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, said on his Telegram channel on Saturday.
"Another night under enemy fire has brought tragic consequences for Odesa. I offer my sincere condolences to the families of the two victims," Lisak said in his post, noting that the two injured individuals have been hospitalized.
"Significant damage has been inflicted on civilian infrastructure; dozens of private and residential buildings, a dormitory, and a kindergarten building have been destroyed. Energy, industrial, and transportation infrastructure facilities have also been affected," he added.
The relevant municipal services are working to address the aftermath of the attack.
Bulgarians in Odesa Oblast number over 150,000 and constitute the third-largest community according to the latest official census in Ukraine. In the city of Odesa itself, around 50–60,000 Bulgarians live. The largest concentrated Bulgarian populations are in the Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
