Thanks to this campaign, thousands of Bulgarian children and young people have already discovered the joy and benefits of sport through #BeActive. I am confident that together we will make the European Week of Sport a true celebration of active living,” said Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Petar Mladenov, who launched the campaign.
The event was also attended by Deputy Minister Dimitar Georgiev and many successful Bulgarian athletes, including footballer Blagoy Georgiev, Olympic bronze medallist in rhythmic gymnastics Reneta Kamberova, world boxing vice-champion Rami Kiwan, volleyball player Teodor Salparov, world and European wrestling champion Ivo Angelov, world number three in sabre fencing Yoana Ilieva, European judo vice-champion Ivelina Ilieva, young swimming talent Petar Mitsin, and Paralympian Stela Eneva.
