Bulgaria's athletes have delivered solid performances at the 25th Balkan Athletics Race Walking Championships in Izmir, Turkiye.

In the women’s U18 5 km team event, Ekaterina Pavlova and Yoanna Radoslavova ranked third, finishing behind the teams from Ukraine and Turkiye, the Bulgarian Athletics Federation said. Individually, Pavlova placed seventh with a time of 29:56, while Radoslavova finished eighth in 30:54.

Mariya Angelova finished fifth in the women’s 21 km race and set a new national record with a time of 2:02:39.

In the men’s U20 10 km event, Ashkan Ali placed seventh with a time of 55:39.

Lazarina Hristova and Plamena Georgieva finished 10th and 11th respectively in the women’s U20 10 km race.
