In June 2025, the number of trips of Bulgarian citizens abroad was 943,600 or 10.4% above the registered in the same month last year, show National Statistical Institute data published on Tuesday. An increase in trips with all observed purposes was registered. 

Bulgarians made most trips to Turkiye (246,100), Greece (219,800), Romania (91,500), Germany (64,600), Serbia (60,700), Italy (34,300), Austria (30,300), North Macedonia (27,800), Spain (25,900) and France (24,900). 

The trips with holiday and recreation purposes formed the greatest share (42.9%) of the total number of trips of Bulgarians abroad, followed by those with other purposes (41.1%) and with professional purposes (16%).

 The foreigners with most visits to Bulgaria came from Romania (242,200), Turkiye (239,300), Germany (136,500), Ukraine (134,100), Greece (105,300), Poland (94,300), Serbia (73,900), UK (42,500), Czechia (41,000) and North Macedonia (29,400).
