site.btaJob Offers in Bulgaria Decrease by 10% in May Y/Y
The job offers in Bulgaria in May were a little over 45,000, show data from the monthly analysis of HR company and career site JobTiger, provided to the Bulgarian News Agency on Monday. The ads increased by 2% compared to the previous month, but continued to decrease on an annual basis. A decrease of 10% was reported compared to May 2024, equivalent to about 5,000 fewer offers. This was the fourth consecutive month when an annual decrease in offers was reported, the company said.
In most sectors, an increase in offers was reported on a monthly basis. More listings were observed in the following sectors: Logistics and Transport (+400 offers, 3% growth), Hotel and Restaurant (+380 offers, 5% growth), Administrative and Service Activities (+280 offers, 6% growth), Manufacturing (+210 offers, 3% growth), Construction (+160 offers, 7% growth), Trade and Sales (+120 offers, 1% growth), Healthcare and Pharmacy (+110 offers, 5% growth), Marketing and Advertising (+40 offers, 4% growth).
A decrease in job listings was reported in the sectors: Accounting, Auditing, Finance (-60 offers, 3% decline), IT (-110 offers, 4% decline).
However, on an annual basis, there continued to be a decline in most sectors. Only in the Trade and Sales sector was a clear increase reported - about 560 more offers compared to last year, or a growth of 5%. A small growth is also reported in the Hotel and Restaurant sectors (+2%), Healthcare and Pharmacy (+2%) and Manufacturing (+1%).
In the remaining sectors, a decrease in the number of advertisements was recorded.
JobTiger's monthly analysis shows that the number of offers for work from home and/or remote work in May remained unchanged compared to April. The total number of this type of offers was about 3,200. Compared to the same period in 2024, a decrease of 7% was also reported, and compared to the beginning of 2025, the decrease was10%.
