site.btaProducer Price Indices in Bulgarian Forestry Decrease by 0.4% in Q1 of 2025 Y/Y


The producer price index on the domestic market for forestry products decreased by 0.4% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said Monday.
The sector recorded a decrease of 5.9% in producer prices in the same period in 2024 compared to the previous year.
The change is a result of the decrease in the price of wood in the rough from coniferous trees - by 3.8%, while the price of rough from non-coniferous trees increase - by 2.3%. A decrease - by 4.6%, is observed as well in the prices of wood in the rough in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter of 2024.
In the first quarter of 2024, the change was the result of price decreases for both wood in the rough from coniferous trees - down by 4.6%, and wood in the rough from non-coniferous trees – down by 6.8%. A 9.4% decrease was also recorded in the prices of wood in the rough compared to the same quarter of 2023.
