The government designated the Transport Ministry as a contact point for the implementation of the TEN-T network projects, which are part of the country's rail network and inland waterways. The Regional Development Ministry will perform the same functions for projects that are part of the national road network.

The adopted decree implements a Directive (EU) 2021/1187 of 7 July 2021 on streamlining measures for advancing the realization of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T).

It introduces a maximum period of four years within which building permits must be issued for projects. A working group is set up by the two ministries to coordinate the procedures for issuing permits for the projects.
