Wizz Air resumed direct flights between Sofia and Abu Dhabi as part of its winter schedule, the airline’s press service said Wednesday.

The service will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Tickets can be purchased on the carrier’s website and mobile application.

Wizz Air noted that the resumption of the route is part of a broader expansion of its operations in Bulgaria. The company plans to optimize schedules, make more efficient use of aircraft based in Sofia and Varna, and introduce new routes in the coming months.

“We are pleased to restart flights to Abu Dhabi from Sofia. The city offers a unique blend of culture, modern atmosphere and new experiences: exactly what our passengers are looking for,” Corporate Sustainability and Communications Manager Anastasia Novak said. She added the network expansion aims to provide more convenient and affordable travel options for Bulgarian passengers.
