site.btaFinal Urban Wine Festival of the Season Kicks Off at Sofia's Largo
 
                                     
                                The last in a series of festivals celebrating Bulgarian wine and International Mavrud Day, Urban Wine Fest 2025, begins at Sofia's Largo. The event will be open to wine enthusiasts between 4 pm and 10 pm on Friday and between 2pm and 10 pm on Saturday, the Bulgarian Association of Wine Professionals (BAWP) said.
Under the dome of the Largo, the BAWP team will present more than 40 carefully selected wines from 15 Bulgarian grape varieties. Sofia's chefs will complement the festival with culinary stalls offering modern flavours inspired by local and seasonal ingredients.
Admission to Urban Wine Fest Sofia 2025 is free, with all food and drink available for purchase on site. The event is not suitable for anyone under 18.
The urban wine festival tour has already visited Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Varna and Plovdiv, with Sofia being the final stop.
International Mavrud Day, celebrated on October 26, is a BAWP initiative held under the patronage of the Tourism Minister, with the official support of the Tourism Ministry, the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Municipalities of Plovdiv, Ruse, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo and Sofia.
