The immersive digital art space Videnie, created entirely by the Bulgarian studio Phormatik, was inaugurated in Sofia with three original exhibitions and an interactive hologram installation, the organizers said on Monday.
The exhibitions explore the communication between technology, nature and human imagination. The Machine (History of AI) traces the development of artificial intelligence from early theoretical concepts to visions of the future. The Nature (Nature in Code) presents a meditative encounter between the beauty of nature and the energy of technology. The Human (Interactive Installation) places the human at the center as creator and co-author in the interaction between artificial intelligence and nature.
In addition, an interactive hologram installation shows digital avatars reacting to visitors’ presence. A second hall, Videnie LAB, offers space for experimental visual projects by Phormatik and international artists working at the intersection of technology and art.
The programme intends to offer yoga sessions, lectures, concerts, film screenings, and immersive culinary evenings. Larger-scale initiatives are also in preparation, including a festival dedicated to immersive arts in 2026, as well as educational workshops and lectures on the relationship between art, technology and audiences.
The venue combines new technologies with Phormatik’s artistic vision, featuring 360-degree LED screens, vibroacoustic sound systems, 3D mapping, and VR and MR experiences.
Phormatik is a Bulgarian digital art and new media studio specializing in visual projects, 3D mapping and immersive experiences.
