site.btaSofia University Is Largest Content Provider on Bulgarian Open Science Portal

The new digital collections management platform of the Library of the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia has been integrated with the Bulgarian Open Science Portal since the beginning of May 2025, the University's press centre said on Tuesday.

Bulgarian Open Science Portal publishes materials related to the Sofia University's research activities, such as academic studies, dissertations, dissertation abstracts (a complete archive from 2011 to the present), theses included in the Sofia University Annual (all volumes published from 1905 to the present), scientific heritage materials, and periodicals.

The data is updated daily and currently boasts around 13,000 resources. Publications will also be periodically indexed by the European Open Science portal OpenAIRE.

The University Library continues to support open science at Sofia University through analytical cataloguing of the University’s online periodicals, by providing open access to all monographs, studies, and articles authored by faculty and PhD students in its digital collections, and by assisting faculty in managing publishing platforms for periodicals - https://periodicals.uni-sofia.bg/ and https://annual.uni-sofia.bg/.
