The Burgas Aviation Museum will offer visitors a varied programme on the occasion of World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day on April 12 and 13, the museum said on Thursday.

Visitors will be able to view the ten aircraft exhibits for free in honour of the holiday, which coincides with the flight of the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin. The exhibits include the An-12 model, which houses the interactive exhibition The Flying Man, as well as the Tu-154 jet passenger plane, whose last flight was to Burgas Airport.

The museum’s programme will also include an art workshop for painting on bags, screenings every hour at the Mobile Planetarium, tasting of freeze-dried space food, and a space show with science experiments for children. Visitors will also receive a newspaper dedicated to Bulgaria's achievements in space, published by the Aviation Museum and Burgas Municipality.
