Emmy Award-winning composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein will present an audio-visual show paying tribute to the Stranger Things saga on Monday at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

The audience will have the chance to experience a retrospective of the series’ music across all five seasons, from its iconic 2016 soundtrack to the climactic compositions of the final season, the organizers Fest Team said. 

Fest Team also said that Dixon and Stein have teamed up with the renowned artist Marcel Weber to create the visual concept with minimalistic yet captivating stage design using different light effects and fog. Critics like Pitchfork and Louder Than War describe Dixon and Stein’s compositions as a memorable soundtrack that distinguishes retro from timeless and that does not need a visual context to bring the audience to the right state of mind. 

In 2009, Dixon and Stein formed the experimental synth project Survive with Mark Donica and Adam Jones, known for its powerful live performances featuring hardware synthesizers and amplifiers. After the Duffer brothers discovered the band and invited Dixon and Stein to compose the Stranger Things soundtrack, their sound evolved alongside the series, from nostalgic science fiction to an epic supernatural saga. Their compositions now sit alongside iconic songs such as Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill, which experienced a major revival thanks to the series, Fest Team recalled.
