site.btaSofia to Become Global Video Mapping Stage
Sofia will become a world stage for immersive video mapping from September 17 to 20, Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev said on Facebook on Tuesday.
“This year, we partnered with LUNAR to turn one of Sofia residents’ favourite events into the world’s largest international competition for immersive video mapping. For four evenings, from September 17 to 20, the Largo will become an open-air gallery, with artists from around the world telling their stories through light, images and technology to mark Sofia Day,” Terziev said.
“The theme, Urban Pulse, is an invitation to look at Sofia beyond its buildings and streets, to the people who bring it to life. To the energy, encounters and small moments that create a sense of home and belonging,” he said.
“For me, this is one of those special moments when we will see our city as we know and love it, bold, open to the world and ready to provide a stage for talented people and brave ideas,” Terziev added.
Before coming to Sofia, the festival will stage its second Black Sea edition from August 7 to 10 under the title Sea of Lights.
