site.btaParliamentary Majority Signs Annex Establishing Rotation of Parliament Chair

An annex to the Agreement on Parliamentary Majority for the Implementation of the Government Programme was signed in Parliament on Wednesday between the political formations GERB-UDF, BSP - United Left, and There Is Such a People (TISP), the GERB press service announced on Wednesday. The annex establishes a new mechanism for the rotation of the position of Parliament Chair, according to which each of the three political formations will nominate its candidate on a rotational basis, with each term lasting 10 months.

The order of rotation will be as follows:

1. ​GERB-UDF;
2. ​TISP;
3. ​BSP - United Left.

Once this sequence has been exhausted, the rotation will start over from the beginning. The remaining clauses of the Agreement remained unchanged. The Annex entered into force on the date of its signing.
