site.btaLand Forces End their Largest Command Post Exercise for 2025

The Bulgarian Land Forces on Thursday completed their largest command post exercise for 2025, codenamed Balkan 25, the Defence Ministry said in a press release.

The exercise involved a total of 18 units with over 1,600 service members and 470 pieces of materiel from 15 locations countrywide. "The units deployed their command structures in field conditions at over 100 km from their home bases. The units relocated at distances ranging from 100 to 300 km, deployed and camouflaged while heavily under-resourced and over-remotely. In the course of eight days, the participants in the exercise maintained uninterrupted 24-hour communication, synchronization and coordination down the chain of command in a single operational situation," the press release said.
