site.btaParliament to Begin Friday Sitting with Question Time


The National Assembly will open its Friday sitting at 9:00 a.m. with question time, according to the weekly parliamentary agenda.
Under parliamentary rules, during the first up to two hours of the sitting on the first Friday of every month, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers appear before the National Assembly to answer current oral questions from MPs concerning the government’s overall policy.
Each parliamentary group is entitled to ask two current questions, while independent MPs are entitled to a total of two questions.
Regular question time is scheduled for 11:00 am, with Deputy Prime Minister and Transport and Communications Minister Grozdan Karadjov, and eight ministers taking part: Petar Dilov – Economy, Zhecho Stankov – Energy, Miroslav Borshosh – Tourism, Daniel Mitov – Interior, Borislav Gutsanov – Labour and Social Policy, Atanas Zapryanov – Defence, Krasimir Valchev – Education and Science and Marian Bachev – Culture.
