Borislav Sarafov is not Prosecutor General and must leave the Prosecution, after which normal legal procedures should follow, co-chair of Yes, Bulgaria and MP from Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Ivaylo Mirchev told journalists in Parliament on Thursday. His comments came in response to a statement from the Supreme Court of Cassation (SCC), which ruled that Sarafov cannot serve as acting Prosecutor General.
“All of Sarafov’s acts from now on will be invalid. Justice has prevailed, thanks to the SCC,” added Bozhidar Bozhanov, the other co-chair of Yes, Bulgaria.
