A 24-hour electronic vignette is being introduced, valid from its starting date and time, for motor vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes, the Government Information Service said.

When using the paid national road network without such a vignette, the minimum road fee due will equal the price of a one-day vignette.

This is in line with Directive (EU) 2022/362 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 February 2022 on the charging of vehicles for the use of certain infrastructures. Its requirements have been transposed into national legislation through amendments to the Roads Act, the Cabinet said.
