The eHealth mobile app has over 200,000 active users who have access to all their data from the National Health Information System (NHIS), including examinations, referrals, prescriptions, vaccinations, hospitalizations, lab results, etc., said the press centre of Information Services. This year alone, over 110,000 people have linked their health records to the app.

Over 30,000 of the new users have linked their health records by taking advantage of the Ministry of Health's campaign which had set up mobile stations in busy locations in all 28 regions of the country and small towns. The app, which was developed by Information Services, has been downloaded a total of 483,000 times, and the number of sessions started has exceeded 6.5 million.

“The eHealth app is the clear leader in Bulgaria among apps in the Health and Fitness category and tops the rankings for most downloaded apps in the App Store and Google Play,” said Branimir Petakov, head of the Mobile Applications Department at Information Services, quoted in the press release. He noted that it is among the most innovative in Europe and the first in Bulgaria to consolidate patient data at the national level.
