site.btaEast Timor to Be Represented by Honorary Consul in Sofia


At its weekly meeting on Wednesday, Bulgaria’s Council of Ministers gave the green light to the establishment of a consulate of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (East Timor) in this country at the proposal of the Southeast Asian nation, the government press service reported.
The consulate will be headed by an honorary consul, Bulgarian national Stanislav Koev. It will be seated in Sofia, and its consular district will cover the whole territory of Bulgaria.
The decision is expected to strengthen Bulgaria’s cooperation with Timor-Leste in the fields of trade, the economy, culture and education, among other domains.
