site.btaMPs Debate Education Bill Focused on Tech Skills and Artificial Intelligence

A roundtable for the presentation and discussion of a bill prepared by Democratic Bulgaria (DB) to amend the Pre-school and School Education Act will be held at the National Assembly today, July 15, DB’s press centre reported. They clarified that the focus of the proposed changes lies in digital skills and artificial intelligence (AI).

The bill’s sponsors point out that digital competence, including skills for working with modern technologies and applications based on AI, is being introduced as a specific aim of general education.

The introduction of AI into education is not only a technological challenge, but also a response to the global need to prepare students with skills for operating in a digital environment, making them competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing world. Personalized learning, supported by new technologies, is presented as a tool to overcome individual difficulties, to motivate, and to develop each student’s personal potential, DB states.
