site.btaBulgaria, Iraq to Cooperate in Agriculture and Food Sector

The Government on Wednesday approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria's Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Iraq's Ministry of Agriculture on cooperation in the field of agriculture and food. The two institutions will also cooperate in the fields of veterinary products, animal disease control, fisheries, and combating and preventing desertification.

The aim of the Memorandum is to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two ministries through joint events and activities, such as seminars and training courses, exchange of information and transfer of expertise. The document also envisages the introduction of new technologies in crop, livestock, fisheries and aquaculture and technical and administrative capacities.
