Deputy Prime Minister and Innovation and Growth Minister Tomislav Donchev reported on the first 100 days of his term in office. The report is published on the website of the Ministry.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the Governance Programme and the adoption of the state budget among his ministry’s accomplishments.
Donchev also emphasized the acceleration of payments under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan by nearly 41%, with their total amount reaching nearly BGN 2.2 billion by April 24 2025.
The Deputy Prime Minister also listed the amendments to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the draft REPowerEU chapter in the plan, submitted to the European Commission on April 16 2025, given that Bulgaria was the only EU member state that had not yet supplemented its national plan with the RePowerEU part at that time. The proposal submitted under the REPowerEU chapter is worth nearly EUR 480 million.
According to Donchev, the amendment submitted to the EC allow Bulgaria to receive in full the funds from the second and third payments under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan by the end of the year.
The submitted report identifies the rescue of delayed investment projects under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, including additional rolling stock for the BDZ, construction and reconstruction of water and sewerage infrastructure, worth more than BGN 500,000 million, by transferring them under Cohesion Policy funds.
