The new governing configuration will function only until it falls apart under various forms of pressure, commented Radostin Vasilev, leader of Morality, Unity, Honor (MECh), on Thursday in Parliament after the unsuccessful no-confidence motion against Rosen Zhelyazkov's Cabinet.
Regarding the vote, he noted that “with a small change in the configuration, Delyan Peevski’s government survived,” and added that this was not unexpected.
According to Vasilev, the new configuration will function until it collapses internally under different kinds of pressure. He suggested that “the failure to manage internal security” would be an excellent basis for the next no-confidence vote, as it would encompass everything that has happened—and continues to happen—in the security system.
He added that MECh would seek support from Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria, as well as from other parliamentary groups, for such a vote.
