Georgi Georgiev was born on May 26, 1986. He received an MA in law from the Sofia University in 2010. He completed an MA course in international commercial law at King’s College London in 2012 and received a PhD in commercial law in 2019.

Georgiev is a lawyer registered with the Sofia Bar Association and chief assistant professor of commercial law at Sofia University’s Faculty of Law.

Georgiev served on Sofia’s Municipal Council between 2019 and 2023. On September 23, 2021 he was elected chairman of the Sofia Municipal Council.

Georgiev has been elected MP on the GERB-UDF ticket to the 50th and 51st National Assemblies.
