site.btaPresident Radev Hosts May 24 Reception
President Rumen Radev and his wife, Desislava Radeva, hosted a traditional reception on the occasion of the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and of Slavic Literature at the National Museum of History in Sofia on Friday.
The President called for the spirit of unity to be preserved not only on this holiday, but also in the future, so that Bulgaria can endure through time. Radev expressed his gratitude to teachers, enlighteners, scientists, researchers, artists, writers, librarians and museum staff.
The reception was attended by caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, Vice President Iliana Iotova, constitutional judges and representatives of the judiciary, caretaker ministers, diplomats, politicians, local authorities’ representatives, representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and religious communities in Bulgaria, among other public figures.
