site.btaActing Prosecutor General Pays Visit to Madrid

A delegation from Bulgaria's prosecution service led by acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov is paying an official visit to Madrid. Sarafov is scheduled to meet with his Spanish counterpart Alvaro Garcia Ortiz, the prosecutor's office said.

The talks will focus on the fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism and illegal migration. Criminal law matters of shared interest will also be discussed with a view to exchanging experience and best practices in criminal investigations.

The Bulgarian delegation includes Elena Karakasheva, Deputy Prosecutor General at the Supreme Administrative Prosecutor's Office, and Svetoslav Vasilev, head of the Cybercrime Department at the National Investigation Service.

The delegation will meet with leaders of Spain's Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, the International Cooperation Unit at the General Prosecution Office, the Central Unit of Cybercrime and the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Illegal Drug Trafficking.
