Bulgaria's new regular government, which was elected on Tuesday, will hold its first meeting on Wednesday afternoon, Bulgarian National Television reported.

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said that the most pressing task facing the new executive is the drafting and adoption of a state budget bill.

Another top priority is to put together the ministries' teams because the deputy ministers of the caretaker cabinet were released on Tuesday, and this will stand in the way of the functioning of the regular cabinet, Denkov said during a hand-over ceremony on Tuesday.
