Good governance is impossible without good administration, without competent, impartial and motivated civil servants, caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev told students and lecturers during the traditional meeting of the Public Administration major at the Faculty of Philosophy of the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, the press service of the Council of Ministers said.

According to Donev, working for the State is incomparable to any other job because it may not bring high pay, but it offers a chance to anyone who finds meaning in serving the people.

According to the Prime Minister, civil servants should not be perceived as "servants" of politicians, executors of their whims or scapegoats for their failures. In his words, the dignity of people in the public administration - personal and professional - should be respected and protected. "Each and every administration and each and every employee is an integral part of the State and society and not a 'tool for orders' of one political party or another," the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Donev congratulated the management of the department and its alumni on the 26th academic year since the establishment of the major.
