site.btaPublic Tender for Six Air Ambulances Terminated
A public tender for the purchase of air ambulances fitted with the necessary equipment for emergency medical care has been terminated. The only offer exceeds the ceiling set by the contracting authority, according to a decision published in the Public Procurement Register.
Leonardo S.p.A. submitted a tender for BGN 123,363,956 before VAT, while the ceiling price was set at BGN 102,589,827 before VAT.
The Health Ministry issued a call for tenders for six air ambulances in July, setting September 1 as the deadline for submissions. The six helicopters are to be delivered by April 30, 2026, starting with the delivery of the first one by December 1, 2023.
The project entitled "Provision of Helicopters for Emergency Medical Response" is to be implemented with financial support from Operational Programme Regions in Growth 2014-2020, co-financed by the EU through the European Regional Development Fund. The project is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
