People gathered to protest in front of the president's administration on Tuesday night against President Iliana Iotova and Prime Minister Rumen Radev. The protest was held under the slogan "Your 'peace' is capitulation! Your 'diplomacy' is isolation! How much longer will we pretend not to see what is happening on our doorstep?".

The organizers said that merchant ships are being attacked and sinking in the Black Sea, as people are dying, while Russian drones are coming dangerously close to Bulgaria's borders. Military depots are exploding, critical infrastructure is under attack, and here they are lulling us to sleep with promises that "good relations" with the aggressor will save us, they added.

The protesters are demanding a State that can defend itself and a government that recognizes the dangers, acts decisively, and works shoulder to shoulder with Bulgaria's allies in the EU and NATO.

Another protest, organized by young doctors under the slogan "Aren't You Ashamed?", is taking place in front of the Ministry of Health. The protesters report that as young doctors, they are a priority for the government in words only. The two protests are expected to merge into one later Tuesday.
