Petar Volgin is a candidate for vice president in the upcoming elections on October 25 according to a decision by the Central Election Commission. He was nominated by the Vazrazhdane party alongside presidential candidate Kostadin Kostadinov.

Petar Volgin was born in Sofia on September 28, 1969. He completed his primary education at the Kliment Ohridski 32nd Unified Secondary Polytechnic School in Sofia, which featured an intensive Russian language curriculum, and his secondary education at the National High School of Ancient Languages ​​and Cultures Konstantin-Kiril the Philosopher. In 1992, he graduated from Sofia University with a degree in Bulgarian Philology and immediately began working at Bulgarian National Television. In the 2024 European Parliament elections, Petar Volgin became an MEP representing the Vazrazhdane party and a spokesperson for the newly formed parliamentary group Europe of Sovereign Nations.
