site.btaGovernment Approves Draft Memorandum with EBRD on Public-Private Partnerships and Concessions

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the government adopted a decision approving a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Bulgaria and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on the preparation and implementation of public-private partnerships and concessions. The document was approved as a basis for negotiations.

The main objective of the Memorandum is to establish a sustainable framework for cooperation between Bulgaria and the EBRD in identifying, preparing and implementing investment projects through public-private partnerships (PPPs) and concessions.

The partnership is expected to support Bulgarian institutions in preparing and structuring projects, including by drawing on the EBRD’s expertise and international experience in public-private partnerships and concessions.
