Citizens called for the Government’s resignation during a protest on Tuesday evening in the so-called Triangle of Power between the Parliament building and the Presidenct's administration building in Sofia. Traffic on Independence Square was blocked.

“The business climate is bad for Bulgarians because of the Radev Cabinet,” protest organiser Manol Glishev said. “Many foreign companies, such as Bosch and Takeaway, are leaving us. By 2029, the property tax will increase by 100% if we leave this Government in power,” he added. Glishev noted that the Government should already have been brought down. “It has Russian dependencies,” he said.

“[GERB leader] Boyko Borisov and [Movement for Rights and Freedoms leader] Delyan Peevski are still parliamentary group floor leaders, although they were supposed to be removed from power,” Glishev said.

“We will continue to protest until early elections are held,” he said. “When Radev’s voters realize that he is lying to them, they should join the protests as well,” Glishev added.

A notification for the protest was submitted to Sofia Municipality. There was a police presence in the area.
