site.btaDanube Water Level Rises Along Bulgaria's River Section

A new rise in the Danube River's water level has been recorded over the past 24 hours along the entire Bulgarian section of the river, the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River reported on Monday. The Ruse gauging station recorded the largest change over the past 24 hours, with a rise of 7 cm. At Svishtov, the rise was 6 cm; at Oryahovo, Nikopol, and Lom, 4 cm; and at Novo Selo, Vidin, and Silistra, 2 cm.

The River Surveillance directorate, part of the Executive Agency Maritime Administration, no vessels have become stranded within or outside the navigable channel over the past 24 hours.

Hydrological conditions remain challenging. All restrictions on vessel draft remain in effect along the entire stretch of the river. Near Ruse, the river level today is minus 120 cm relative to the standard zero elevation. The forecast for the next two days is for it to rise by another 5 cm.
