site.bta Wizz Air Launches Direct Flights Between Varna, Warsaw
Wizz Air has launched direct flights between Varna Airport and Warsaw (Modlin), the airline's press centre announced on Friday.
The inaugural flight on the new route took place on May 21. The service will operate throughout the summer season with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The airline also announced plans to expand its operations in Bulgaria during the 2026 summer season by adding a third Airbus A321neo aircraft to its Varna base and an eighth aircraft to its base in Sofia. New routes from Varna to Barcelona, Athens, Paris (Beauvais), Debrecen and Gdansk are also planned. From Sofia, the carrier plans to introduce new flights to Budapest, Palermo, Rhodes, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh.
