site.btaMeteorology Institute Issues Yellow Code Warning for Intense Rainfall in Several Regions
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a yellow warning for the risk of intense rainfall for several regions of the country on Saturday. The forecast applies to the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Sofia, Pernik, Kyustendil and Blagoevgrad, as well as parts of Pleven, Lovech, Pazardzhik and Smolyan.
Sunny weather will prevail across most of the country. Cloud cover from the west-southwest will begin to increase and by the evening will also spread to the northeastern regions. Many places will experience brief but temporarily intense rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong southerly-southeasterly winds expected. Highs: between 21C and 26C, around 22C in Sofia.
