A total of 130 political parties have submitted their annual financial reports and donor lists for 2025 in compliance with the requirements and within the deadline set by the Political Parties Act, the National Audit Office said on Wednesday.

One party has failed to submit its annual financial report. The National Audit Office will notify the prosecution service, as the formation has committed this violation for a second consecutive year. Another political party submitted its report after the legal deadline.

The fine for failure to submit reports or for late submission ranges from EUR 2,556.46 (BGN 5,000) to EUR 5,112.92 (BGN 10,000).

The National Audit Office has published a list of political parties whose 2025 annual financial reports were submitted within the legal deadline of March 31, 2026, and meet the requirements for form, content and submission procedure under the Political Parties Act; a list of parties that failed to submit their reports in accordance with the Act; and a list of parties that submitted their reports after the deadline.

A list of parties that received state subsidies in 2025 has also been published.

The National Audit Office is launching its annual audit of the financial activity, revenues, expenditures and management of assets provided to political parties which in the previous year received state subsidies, used premises provided by the State or municipalities, and participated in elections, the statement said.
