Yordan Vasilev Is Top-of-the-List Candidate of Defiant Bulgaria National Movement for Sliven 21st Constituency

BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Yordan Vasilev is the top-of-the-list candidate of Defiant Bulgaria National Movement for Sliven’s 21st multi-member constituency, the party said here Saturday.

Vasilev was born on 24 November 1969 in Sofia. He graduated from the University of National and World Economy in Marketing and Management and holds a master’s degree in Political Science from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Between 2004 and 2007 he was executive director of Stolichen Elektrotransport EAD. Since 2008 he has been developing his own business in the trade in construction materials and has taken part in the implementation of infrastructure and logistics projects, including Kabile Logistics Park and the reconstruction of Sofia Central Market Hall.

He has lived in Italy, where he gained experience in international companies. He speaks Italian, English and Russian. Vasilev is translator of books by Italian economist and politician Prof. Giulio Tremonti, including Fear and Hope and The Criminal State.

He took part in the creation of the Gergyovden movement and the Bulgarian Democratic Community party. He has been a candidate for mayor of Sofia.
