The Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) coalition kicked off its election campaign in Sofia, holding an event in the park adjacent to the National Palace of Culture.
“We must eliminate corruption and abuses in the country—not with empty words but through concrete action,” CC leader Assen Vassilev said. He highlighted several proposals, including setting a minimum wage for members of the Supreme Judicial Council, reducing the number of ministries, capping electricity prices for businesses, and raising the VAT threshold for small enterprises.
Yes, Bulgaria co-chair Bozhidar Bozhanov said that Bulgaria is being weighed down by a “captured state” and stressed that these elections are a chance to “finish what we started together in the square.”
The other co-chair, Ivaylo Mirchev, said the campaign must clarify Bulgaria’s position—whether it belongs at the heart of Europe or on its periphery.
Atanas Atanassov, leader of Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, emphasized the need for state investment in security, new military technologies, and reforms in the security sector.
